I did not ask her to turn her back from the game that she loved but she decided on her own to leave all of that behind when we got married.
She said that she only wanted to be a professional wife and mother to our future children and nothing else. I think I have never told her how much I much appreciated that decision that she made. I know how hard it must have been for her to turn her back on something that she was so good at and her own dreams just to make sure that our family would turn out right.
Sometimes I think that she feels that I am not aware of the tremendous sacrifice that she did for us, that is why I have been racking up my brains to think up of something that would show her that I know and that I care. Our fifth wedding anniversary is coming up and I am determined that this is the perfect time for me to show her how much I appreciate her decision. I saw an ad for some golf vacation packages. I thought that it was the right time for me to take her out on a golf vacation. Especially because I had recently bought her some new golf club components.
You know what? That was one of the smartest things that I ever did in my life. My wife was so pleased with our vacation that she actually cried when I told her about it. When we went on or vacation she was just so happy that she would just embrace me and cry all of a sudden. She loved playing golf again and she just savored every swing that she took. She even tried to teach a few basics of the game so we could play. She was so pleased with the vacation that she asked me if we could do it again for next year. I said of course that should not be a problem at all, as long as it would keep her happy.
