Finding Home Based Jobs

Home Based Jobs make a lot of sense these days. With the economy still down on its knees all the good opportunities are really hard to find right now. Finding a job online can be a really great life saver. There are many advantages for working on a home based job. For me the biggest thing about it is that I need not travel to and from my work. I just have to stay at home and so none of my time is wasted. Another great advantage is that I can save a lot of money by working at home. This gives the freedom that no other form of employment can give me and I make sure that I make good use of my free time.

There are many types of home based jobs. Here are some of them:

Data Entry- This type of work is really simple. Basic computer skills are all that you need to get this form of employment. If you have above average typing skills then that is better.

Call Centre- You can take calls for a call centre from your home. You need to provide technical support and customer service over the phone. You have to be real patient for this kind of work and it also means lesser freedom than other forms of home based employment.

Web Design- Web designing has always been more of the freelancing type of employment. You just have to study a little in order to learn this but it can really pay off.

There are more home based job that are being offered right now. You can also do some research to find out how to make money from online advertising . There are many bloggers all over the world who make a living by the ads placed on their blogs.

Releasing the Writer in Me

We are all storytellers. There is in each of us, at least one good story that needs to be told, which essentially makes every one of us a story teller in our own right. The only difference is that some of us actively pursue being a writer while many simply don’t bother. They just go on to different career paths, not thinking that putting pen to paper, or finger to keyboard in a more modern sense, would be worth pursuing as a living.

But the innate storytelling ability that we all have certainly surfaces from time to time, in its own unique ways. It might take the form of simply relating a story about our own selves to someone else who might be close to us. Or we could also write about a story that is completely fictional, something that we made up. That is when the storyteller or more specifically the writer in us is released. I certainly know that because that is what happened to me.

I am a writer who took what I would call a progressive path to my present type of work. This is what I mean by that, I actually started out in school, writing for the school paper in high school, and then continuing that in college where I was actually studying history. After graduating from college, I pursued any writing job that I could find my way. My first job that allowed me to do any kind of writing at all was as a greeting card writer. It was a relatively easy job for me, and under the circumstances then, it paid me well enough.

Then I got another writing job, which is almost the opposite of my first one as I became an obituary writer for one of the leading broadsheets. Then I finally got a big break as I was able to penetrate the comic book industry. I became a comic book writer and I earned extremely good money compared to my previous jobs. After becoming successful in that field, I set my sights to becoming an even more serious storyteller.

I am presently pursuing a higher literary calling, as I am moving into being a writer of literary fiction. Now this is a real challenge because it is considered to be the most serious form of literature there is. Its literary merit is the highest, and it is not something that is easy to do, especially when compared to the writing I did in the past. I am ready for the challenge though, and I am in fact in the process of writing my first literary novel. I consider it releasing the real writer in me and is the high point of my career.

The Best Toys for Growing Children

In my opinion construction toys for kids are the best toys that a parent can give to his children. Why should we give them toy guns, or video games, when there is something like construction toys that can be used to develop their minds and their skills in a way that would promote positive skills and values. Building blocks and construction toys can help develop a child’s imagination and creativity.

I know this by my own experience. When I was a child my favorite playthings were wooden blocks that my grandfather gave to me. They were not even real toys but just pieces of wood that were cut in order to form perfect blocks. I had a lot of good time playing with those simple objects and I could remember imagining that I was some great engineer or architect contracting huge monuments.

I want my child to have the same positive experience as mine when it comes to playing with building blocks. I want them to experience the good time and start making dreams while playing. I am giving him a better chance though. If I was content with playing around with some wooden blocks I want to give my kid the best available construction toys for boys in the market today. I do not believe in going for cheap or inexpensive toys, because what I am after is quality. If I believe that a toy would be perfect for my child, I would buy that no matter how much it would cost. I have started quite a collection already of the toys and things that I want my child to grow up playing with. That collection takes up a greater part of a whole room in our house.

I intend to use the construction toys that I have been buying for my child as a means of building my relationship with my child. I want to spend time with him in playing with those toys to teach him about some of the basic things in life and in science. The classic building blocks with letters on them will provide a great opportunity to teach my child about the alphabet and and numbers as well.

If you have a growing child then start making a big difference on his life by giving him construction toys to play with. That can be the first step towards his journey to achieving a creative and meaningful life.

A Golf Vacation for My Wife

When I met my wife she was hoping to play professional golf. She was very pretty good from what I understand, since I do not really know anything about the sport and I would not be able to tell one golf club component from another. From what I gather she actually had a really good shot at making it to the professional golf tournaments. Then she met me and her life took a huge turnaround. I did not ask her to turn her back from the game that she loved but she decided on her own to leave all of that behind when we got married.

She said that she only wanted to be a professional wife and mother to our future children and nothing else. I think I have never told her how much I much appreciated that decision that she made. I know how hard it must have been for her to turn her back on something that she was so good at and her own dreams just to make sure that our family would turn out right.

Sometimes I think that she feels that I am not aware of the tremendous sacrifice that she did for us, that is why I have been racking up my brains to think up of something that would show her that I know and that I care. Our fifth wedding anniversary is coming up and I am determined that this is the perfect time for me to show her how much I appreciate her decision. I saw an ad for some golf vacation packages. I thought that it was the right time for me to take her out on a golf vacation. Especially because I had recently bought her some new golf club components.

You know what? That was one of the smartest things that I ever did in my life. My wife was so pleased with our vacation that she actually cried when I told her about it. When we went on or vacation she was just so happy that she would just embrace me and cry all of a sudden. She loved playing golf again and she just savored every swing that she took. She even tried to teach a few basics of the game so we could play. She was so pleased with the vacation that she asked me if we could do it again for next year. I said of course that should not be a problem at all, as long as it would keep her happy.
